We are excited to launch our Second Annual “Hundrathon” Campaign, when we come together to support our wonderful school in celebration of the 100th day. This year, that day is Wednesday February 1st.
We need your help to reach our goal of raising $30,000 for vital programming here at Cornell.
We are asking each family to donate $100 per child by the 100th day of school. Here are just some of the things your donation will directly support:
- Assemblies (budgeted at $4,400)
- Classroom supplies ($6,650 already distributed during this 2011-2012 year)
- Additional classroom supplies for 2011-2012 budgeted at $11,000
- Teacher professional development
- School site enhancements
- 5th grade graduation
- Ice cream social and coffee gatherings
- Year-end teacher appreciation lunch
- And much, much more!
| We listened to the concerns of parents who want a simple, time-efficient way to support the school. This is the PTA’s only major fundraiser for the year. We are counting on you to help us reach our goal. Your $100 donation takes just a few minutes of your time—with no raffle tickets to sell, no wrapping paper to hawk, and no cake to bake. There is no effort involved, other than writing a check or donating online. |
We fully understand that not every family is in a position to donate at this level. Any amount is deeply appreciated. All donations are strictly confidential.
Fun tidbits to know about Cornell’s Hundrathon:
- Your child brought home a packet containing:
- a campaign button, please wear it to help us raise awareness about this effort.
- a paper star for your child to decorate. The stars will be placed on the school windows.
- For each child’s family that participates, we will add a sparkly wooden star. We will be adding large and small stars, one per donation.
- You can keep updated on the progress towards our goal by watching the phases of the moon outside of Principal Holmes’ office.
Return the packet envelope with your tax-deductable donation it to your child’s teacher or drop it off in the office, in the PTA safe. Please do so prior to Friday, February 4th, and include your name and address and your child’s name so that we can send a receipt for tax purposes.
Please consider a donation of $100 to Cornell by the 100th day of school – it’s only one dollar a day.
Don’t forget, everyone is invited to come celebrate with cake and refreshments on Friday, February 4th at 6:30pm!
